freatened em and feeked em of and I caught a nice un just after dark. Maybe makes me a arseole but it feekin works. To much P.C. goin on I rekons--give it a go

Anyhow Chav-I,v been concerned about the number of otters I,m seeing on the Ouse at the moment. I,m fishing 3 club stretches and have seen otters every time I,v fished especially after dark. I,m worried about there effects on the Barbel population especially on the stretches such as Vauxhall where you have a relatively small stock of large fish. Are the otters predating the barbel and big chub? I would imagine the barbel being at the top of the foodchain with no other predator than man would be easy pickings at the moment. Would the otters still go for the larger fish i.e barbel, even on the more densely populated stretches where for example there is a large head of chub in the 2-5lb range and just a few barbel. Another thing I,v noticed is that the catching time is now the 3 hours leading up to dusk and after dark the river seems to die a death.Do you think this is the barbel being spooked by otters careering up and down the river at what used to be primetime for catching? If you are not sure maybe you could discuss this with your uncle.Your views would be greatly appreciated. Tight lines and jackin--Harry

Wen i used ter fish the Ouse,best time wos 11.0 pm ter 1 am,an reckon you could be right about the otters,wot wiv the mink,crays,cormerants an the cuddly otters fink the ouse as ad its day.Saw a report from the EA last year on the upper ouse an otters at Adams,an all over Newport pagnel,an felmersham,ouse manor,radwell and sharnbrook,an so little silver fish,they av stopped aving matches there.Fink yer should fish the Trent,thames,an severn if ya wanna catch regular. Though so far fer me the thames as got me beat,but then i aint got many skills,mebbee later this year you will av ta come wiv me an show me how,as long as yer dont mind,waving ter the trippers on the pleasure boats that pass every 10 minutes,an from 8.0pm yer can wave ter the bints on the disco boats,who often git there tits out, when i shout,show me yer knockers.Shit fishing but beats watching otters,innit |
